We here at BeWeave It headquarters are gearing up for I Love Yarn Day, a celebration of all things yarn-related taking place Saturday, October 17. Hosted by the Craft Yarn Council, I Love Yarn Day aims to spread the joy of the fiber arts through contests, projects, and other fun events!
While the event is primarily focused on knitting and crochet, weavers can definitely get involved with spreading awareness about I Love Yarn Day. Here are a few things you can do to share your love of yarn:
- Visit I Love Yarn Day on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest to discover ways you can #stitchitforward
- Share your story on your blog and social media about how you learned to weave.
- Film a short video about why you love yarn, then share it online with the hashtags #ILYD2015 and #stitchitforward
